Urgent Problems with Subdomains

Howdy Community ...
Great day today. The sun in shining on my back and i ...

Problems are: Want creating a subdomain,- like my old servers, but cant.
(WHY?) ...

Used following adjustments:

1.) created no user, admin direct hosting. (No other plans)
Used "create subdomain" mysub (mysub.domain.net)

NO DNS!

K. (!)

Hello google | manual ...
(mommy always said... R.T.F.M)

K... (!)

Created in apache2 (global use of domain) = domain.net as a main TLD.
Now back in admin created TLD. mysub.domain.net


Nothings works! (after 2 days i was afk)
Whats wrong?

Tried different options. With A/CNAME

Is shared domains without ending after dot or with? (net,com,org,ai,flowers and so on)

Routing Subdomain to Userpanel

Howdy community. 

Have a simple question.

If i use xkxkx.domain.tld, (not registered as a subdomain), i become routed to the sentora webadmin.
Nice for n00bs, but for security, a high risk (when everyone who makes a typing fault
standing in front of the webadmin)

Question now:
What can i do, that sentora dns the browser tells: Subdomain not found 
and not: Hello, i am the sentora webadmin. Want Login?

I have installed sentora for windows successfully from installer, everything works perfectly expect one thing that is annoying is that a php command executing in command prompt every few minutes, how to hide this script in to run in front ?

Access panel

I'm not getting access to my administrative panel (painel.wasbrasil.com). When access informs the following message Critical Error: [0100] - Unable to connect or authenticate to the Sentora database (sentora_core).

We advice that you contact the server administrator to ensure that the database server is online and that the correct connection parameters are being used.

I need help! Please!

Separate httpd-vhosts.conf

I've been using Sentora since it was released then zPanel for a few years before. I think it would be a nice option to separate the httpd-vhosts.conf, the reason I am suggesting this change is because when you have a large amount of websites it just becomes an oversized mess of configuration options.

Pros:
- Easy to find configuration
- Easy to edit configuration
- Easy to delete 
- Easy to disable by simply moving the config file to the sites-available folder
- Segregated domain configs 
- Easier to program 

Cons:
- Lots of files per domain (then again there is 3 log files per domain so it's not to bad)
- Increase file storage size (I think)

What are your suggestions on this?


I'm planning on forking this to my Github and building it for myself but if it would be good for an official release it's all yours.

Today I just installed Santora panel. and the first look was awesome! 
I like each and every feature of it. But it lacks an important feature which is, let's encrypt support.

is there any module available to enable let's encrypt support?

Trying to access subdomain says "This page can’t be displayed" error

After creating the subdomain -- having it point to a specific folder, and waiting for it to go "Live," the page will not come up -- http://powerboatnet.rubyyachts.com. The main site comes up fine.

I am using the DNS manager at Dreamhost (DreamCompute -- cloud hosting). They don't do anything with subdomains; is not having a DNS record for the subdomain my problem?

Critical Error: [0100] - MySQL server offline & mysqld.service not found

My DigitalOcean Sentora droplet's MySQL server is crashing about every 4-10 hours after i manage to restore it, there is no information in any logs.
Here is the output when trying to restart mysql:

Error when trying to access WebUI:

Install Iissues - some pointers.

I have been using zPanel and then Sentora on Centos 6.x for quite some time and found it to be the BEST open source panel for the "IX" platform - period.

Over the years I have been using Website Panel (now SolidCP) on Windows, but it is a "busy install" but works extremely well. Costs for certain "add-ons" makes it expensive (not to mention how vulnerable Windows and IIS are); so I was delighted to see Sentora for Windows.

Bottom Line: It installs without issue on Windows 2008R2 and Windows 2012RD (x64). Just make sure that you DO NOT have IIS, DNS, anything installed with Platform Installer and even IISadmin running. Cripple them or remove them altogether.

After browsing this forum, I saw many posts regarding sending/receiving email and form posts (contact forms etc) as well as other issues.

So, I thought I'd pass along a few comments that may help others:

1) hMail server (which I have been using since v4.x) works and works properly if you follow the hMail Server Install guides. Since this product is installed with Windows Sentora, the only issue you should face is configuring the program itself. Use the hMail guides, they are excellent and will resolve 99.999% of issues,
2) For hMail server to function properly, you may have set the BIND address to 127.0.0.1 - do not leave it blank,
3) hMail server needs to have the proper settings set for Incoming and Outgoing mail (web to internal, internal to web etc),
4) Sendmail caused me a few issues with sending mail using a php mailer test script. The script is fine as I use it on "IX" boxes, so this told me it was a Window's Issue. SURE ENOUGH it was the Long File Name that I used in the sendmail.ini file. DON'T use an LFN (ex: c:\program files(x86)\php\sendmail), use either "c:\sendmail" or the 8.3 filename - VOILA - it will work,
5) As I have Static addresses, I had to turn off the Auto IP feature - no big deal here either.

Other than many of the videos being in Russian, watch them anyway. Visually you will get a clue as to what is to be done.

For those that are asking about Windows 10 - it does actually install and work so long as you install the required VC++ libraries and TURN of UAC.

But of course, Windows 10 (as is 7) is a DESKTOP environment, it is not designed for use as a "Real" production server.

Really, think about it...

In my opinion, Windows Sentora is extremely well done and for me worked right out of the box on 3 installs. Each of these servers are in Production on the web and each build took me no more than 8 hours each - in total including locking down folders, creating virtual directories etc.

I applaud Mark on the excellent work!!!!

When might we see an update with new features?

sentora centered issue with installing an smf forum

when i install smf with senora on it so i can host my other websites on one ip i get a white screen of death once the forun is installed,  the white screen only stops when you are logged into the forum as a user,  which causes problemes because peoplw can barely register.  I have asked on their forums and i have found that the forum works perfect  when sentora isn't installed, what could be going wrong? Any answers are greatly appreciated!

Can't recieve emails

Hallo,

I recantly install Centora 1.0.3 in Ubuntu 14.04. I can send emails but i can't recieve. Centora panel is connected with Cloudflare Flexible SSL. What i can add on cloudflare or/and centora panel to fix this "error" ?

Good afternoon,
Im new to Sentora and i wanted to try this panel on my VPS for some private sites i need to host, for years i have just runned a clean install of debian with apache2 php mysql and etc. but now i wanted to have a nice panel so i could let some other use the server without me always manually setting up all services.

I did install the panel and everything worked good. then i did setup Let´s encrypt ssl service for both my Panel and for the domains i host and that works all very well. 

the only problem i have its not like sentora is forwarding to port 443 if i do enter domain.com in the browser it will show "This site can’t be reached domain.com refused to connect."

but if i do enter myself https://domain.com it dose work fine.

Problem with SSL!!

Hi,
After installing SSL, I have this problem:

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Reason: You're speaking plain HTTP to an SSL-enabled server port. Instead use the HTTPS scheme to access this URL, please.

Is there a way, to go back to the way it was at the beginning, deactivating SSL?. When I try to disable SSL with the sudo a2dismod command, the page does not load.
