Cron Issues? Help Please

Hey all

So im having a bit of a strange issue which I cant seem to solve myself, and Im hoping someone can help me with it

I was wanting to setup a simple cron script to run every 10 min's on one of my websites
I made the script and tested it, and it worked fine, I then went to add the cron in the control panel and that added with no problems.

However, the script didnt want to run, and I couldn't figure out why.
I gave up at that point and decided to attack it another day, which was today

I made a simple php script to write "test" to a text file, and loaded that into cron.
Still nothing

So I did a grop for CRON on the syslog and found that the php i was using a few days ago was running every 10 mins.
and the one I just added isnt showing up anywhere

I checked the /var/spool/cron/crontabs/www-data and found the second test php was in there, and nothing aobut the first one, which is the one thats running.

Im not sure where to go from here, Anyone got any ideas?
Im sure its something stupid I have missed
Quick update

I deleted the test cron from the web interface, and checked the spool/cron www-data and can confirm that its gone from there

however the test cron is still showing in syslog every min, and im not sure where its being called from
And the test cron doesnt seems to be running properly either as the text file it writes to is empty

Repo update error

i keep getting this cannot connect error

[root@panel ~]# zppy update

and it does not download any repo files or stuff.. my firewall is disabled.

any solutions? im trying to install some modules from repo.

Change the main domain control panel

Hi
I resently change the main domain (panel.olddomain.com to panel.newdomain.com) and everything is working.
But I release that in the virtual host configuration in /etc/sentora/configs/apache/httpd-vhosts.conf
is define the old main domain panel.olddomain.com.

My question is Should I change this for the new main domain?

Give Apache permission to see Alias setting up in Global Vhost Entry

I would like to setup webmail acces using Global VHost Entry, for all the benefit that this provide. So I add
Alias /webmail /etc/sentora/panel/modules/Rainloop_webmail/app/ in Global VHost Entry (mudule admin/Apache config) and after that I restart apache service.
Then whe I try to get mydomain.com/webmail the answer is:

You are not authorised to view this page or directory....

  1. The web server is setup to disable directory listings.
  2. You supplied an incorrect user/password when attempting to browse this area.

I was installing Opencart in the sentora, and this error appears. Huh Huh

(Idea) Redirect Module

A good idea for the smart sentora panel is to add a redirect system with simple php or apache codes. I believe is simple to create anyone this module.

how easy would it be to add Apache Allura to a sentora install

would there be a need for a module or could it just go in as is
i ask because i want to have some projects hosted on my site but with all the features this adds

Don't connect to ftp

I recently install sentora panel to my CentOS 7 server. I created a ftp account and when I trying to login I get these error. Can somebody help me. 

Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

On router I have popen ports:
-20 TCP
-21 TCP
-25 TCP
-53 TCP
-80 TCP
-110 TCP
-143 TCP
-443 TCP
-3306 TCP
-60000 - 65000 TCP&UDP

Thankyou for eny replay, I don't know what I can do.

Want to edit Mailboxes Module Need Some Help

So i want to edit mailbox module of sentora.

So basic mailbox module has options to add, edit and delete mailboxes and we have another module to launch mailboxes. 

But i want to edit mailboxes module and add button to access the mailboxes directly without password. Like user just have to click the access button and sentora will automatically login to the webmail.

So how can i do that? Which modules i have to edit and where they are located?

Edit: I found the mailboxes module and added Access button but i can't figure out how can i make that button to access the mailboxes without entering login details.

is it just me or does sentora seem dead all modules wont install, themes are disappearing and just seems next to no new forum posts, i really hope it isnt as its the best cp i have come across!

Hi,

I have recently installed sentora on my Dedicated server - Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

I am in need to use zip_open php functionality for my website and it requires PECL zip version greater than 1.0.0.

http://php.net/manual/en/function.zip-open.php

Please guide me to install the PECL zip without disturbing other settings.

mod_fastcgi multiple php version

Hi devs, 

I've been using Sentora for a few years now and it was becoming increasingly more difficult to run sites on my server because of the PHP constraint.

I was wondering whether or not it is possible to upgrade sentora to enable a dropdown in the domain listing pages to change the PHP version of a website. 

Of course this will require mod_fastcgi to be enabled and some custom CGI scripts but it could also cause major issues with peoples installs if they've forcefully upgraded PHP without the use of the Sentora upgrade scripts.

It is also a cause for concern because it will be a major switch from PHP to PHP-FPM.

Ignoring the cons, I think this feature will be very useful since many sites are upgrading to PHP7.1 and others are left to rot on PHP5.6.

Looking at it, with a little thought and effort this seems doable. 

Ways to do it? 

The way I see it being done is as follows:
  • Check the servers php version and make not of this.
  • Backup all php configuration files for easy revert later if needs be 
  • Backup vhost file just incase something screws up
  • Remove all versions of php on the machine
  • Clean up the configs (so not to leave any garbage)
  • Install/Enable mod_fastcgi
  • Install the cgi scripts ready
  • Allow the install script to offer which versions of php install so not to overload the system with PHP versions which aren't necessary (PHP5.6 and PHP7.0 should be defaults)
  • Run a command or something similar to update the vhosts. 
  • Create and update a php_versions table in the database with the installed versions
  • Add a new column to the domains table with a php version id (Makes life easier when figuring out what version is being used when it comes to updating the php version )
  • Add a new inline form field to: domains, sub domains and parked domains (?) which enables the user to select a PHP version
  • Done? I think.
Now, it's all well and good me saying this, but if there is any chance what so ever of this being a thing, i'd be more than happy to whip up a module, few daemon commands and update the required modules to work with this.

FTP tables out of sync

Hi all,

I'm using Sentora for a while.

Few days ago I've notice that the new users created for FTP are not able to login.
Trying to check what is wrong I've notice that the user/pass is incorrect.
But the real problem is that the ProFTP is using sentora_proftpd database with table ftpuser table.
Checking the x_ftpaccounts table I've notice that there the new user is inserted but in the sentora_proftpd table is not.

Truncate the table sentora_proftpd and create a new user still not able to see the user in this table.

What is changed in Sentora? What I can do to gain access to the FTP, regarding to change the proftp config file to use x_ftpaccounts table.

FTP read or write only permission not work

When I create a FTP account and set it to read only or write only, I use Windows login the account also can read write data, something wrong or some setting I missing? Please help and Thanks!

Fedora 25 and php 7.0

Hello all!

I'm back. It was the time for me to do a refresh on my personal server and try out Fedora 25 (I was on Fedora 24). All worked fine then with php 5.6, but Fedora 25 is based on php 7.0. Hoho!! Sentora don't support php 7.x because a suhosin issue.


Oki fine, but I want to give the choice to everyone "with disclamer" to use suhosin7 (for php 7.x) on Sentora. That what I fixed on mine at the moment.

Second problem with php 7.0, it's the apps version. Atm Sentora works with :

Roundcube 1.0.4
phpmyadmin 4.1.x
phpsysinfo 3.2.4

and all have issue with php 7.x

So I'm working on a sentora installer who give you the choice to but suhosin official release and the last version (for php 5.x) or the suhosin 7 (for php 7.x) in alpha release with disclamer.

The second choice this installer will give it to you, it's to keep the Sentora originals apps OR but the lastest github master branch of each software. 

At the moment you've got

Roundcube 1.2.5
phpmyadmin 4.7
phpsysinfo 3.2.8

all work fine with php 7.0.

I will ajust my installer from the current master branch with debian support, not the original web page downloader exemple, where is the original 1.0.3 installer without Debian. And I will send you the github link for install. 

I hope this will gives some happyness  to the one reclaime a php 7 support since a while.

Postfix can't send above 5MB attachments. [UNSOLVED]

I changed the limits in main.cf but in logs i see this.

May 18 15:23:29 cohsh81n2c postfix/smtp[14805]: 28E90201E33: host gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com[74.125.128.27] said: 552 5.3.4 Message too big (in reply to end of DATA command)

It is like the gmail server said "552 5.3.4 Message too big" but when i use a different mail server to send the same attachments to the same email address it works. 

Any help?

WHMCS module - Unable to setup second site for client

I am able to order one website as a client, if i try to go back and order a second website  i get the error: Account couldn't be created, a user with the email 'email@gmail.com' already exists! (NOTE: This includes deleted users, please use the 'Deleted Records Manager' module to remove such users)

I also tried ordering two hosting plans at once, i was given the same error. One of the hosting plans did get setup.

In the module log this action is performed twice: whmcs.checkuseremailisunique


I am wondering if it is possible to disable that action since i am ok with customers signing up for more than one plan, or if there are any other work arounds.
